Description
Three detached villas on one estate, 550 square metres in total and room for 24 people. No holiday park and no shared pool. Five thousand square metres of garden with two ponds, a glass pavilion housing a heated indoor pool, and for as long as you are there the whole estate is yours alone. This is the quiet heart of the Vysočina region.
Ten bedrooms and nine bathrooms, spread across three buildings. That last part is exactly what makes this place work for a large group. Every family picks its own villa and simply closes the door behind them at night.
The largest of the three has five bedrooms, all with a double bed and most with their own shower and toilet. Three of them are on the ground floor with a door onto the terrace. The second villa is the most sociable one for a group: three bedrooms with 180 cm beds, a playroom with an extra bed, and a sofa bed downstairs by the fireplace. The third is the smallest and the quietest, with one bedroom downstairs and an open gallery upstairs with a double bed and its own bathroom.
Each villa has its own living room with a fireplace and an open kitchen that has everything you need: oven, dishwasher, induction hob, microwave, Nespresso and an American fridge with an ice maker. One villa has a solid teak dining table for ten. Another has a professional teppanyaki kitchen you can sit around with ten people while the cooking happens in front of you. There is also a games room with billiards, table football and electronic darts, and a home cinema for the evenings when nobody wants to go out again.
Wellness is where this place stands apart. The pool measures ten by three metres and sits under cover, so you can swim in November too. There is also a sauna, four whirlpools, a swim spa with counter-current, a stainless steel hot tub for six in the garden, and two treatment rooms for ayurvedic massage. Outside you will find terraces of forty and twenty-five square metres and a summer kitchen with a grill that seats twenty.
Practically, everything is sorted. Wifi throughout, washing machine and dryer, parking for more than ten cars with a charging point for electric vehicles. The ground floor is step-free, there is no lift, and smoking is done outside.
Počátky is five kilometres away for groceries and a coffee on a terrace. Telč is twenty kilometres away and on the UNESCO list: an arcaded square, four cake shops and a chateau. Nine kilometres away you will find Žirovnice Castle with its mother-of-pearl museum, and a spa resort with an ayurvedic kitchen. Jindřichův Hradec is twenty-five kilometres away and has, besides its castle, a historic narrow-gauge railway that children refuse to get off. Add to that the red moated castle of Červená Lhota, the Museum of Records and Curiosities in Pelhřimov, and the cycle path between Žirovnice and Počátky that runs right past the house.
What stays with you is the evening. The children in the games room, someone in the hot tub, everyone else at that long teak table with a bottle of Moravian wine. Nobody has to be anywhere.
